The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has accused some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors of being two-faced with President Bola Tinubu.
At the PDP’s Secretariat in Port Harcourt during the state congress, Wike claimed these governors support the president secretly but criticize him publicly.
Wike, a former Rivers State governor, explained his opposition to the PDP during the presidential election by pointing out the party’s failure to uphold justice, fairness, and equality.
“I did not hide it in 2023 when I said I wouldn’t support PDP for the presidential election. I said I won’t support PDP because it refused to allow equity, fairness, and justice. So, I have no regrets,” Wike noted.
He condemned the governors for their double-dealing, stating, “When Buhari was there, you never saw me play two sides; I never went to the Villa at night only to come out in the day to shout.”
Wike urged the governors to show integrity and stick to their beliefs instead of engaging in deceitful behavior.
