Tinubu didn’t address our demands – Youths continues protest

Date:

Despite President Bola Tinubu’s call for dialogue, young people have continued their street demonstrations for the fourth day in a row, demanding better economic circumstances and effective governance.

The #EndBadGovernance protest, which commenced on Thursday, is planned to extend for a total of ten days. Following the President’s recent address, demonstrators have gathered at Gani Fawehinmi Park, expressing discontent with his failure to address their primary grievances.

Their demands include restoring petrol subsidies, tackling issues such as food shortages and unemployment, and cutting down on unnecessary government spending. They are also calling for a downsizing of the President’s cabinet and governmental expenses, along with reforms within INEC and EFCC.

In response, President Tinubu, during a broadcast on Sunday, appealed to the youth to pause their protests and opt for dialogue, assuring them of his administration’s unwavering commitment to effective governance despite the nation’s socio-economic challenges.
