The government has started the National Youth Dialogue to help and inspire young Nigerians while promoting a sense of love for their country.
The Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, shared this news on Wednesday.
He mentioned that the National Youth Dialogue is meant to deal with important challenges that young Nigerians face today, like not having jobs and opportunities to start their own businesses.
He stated that the initiative will improve entrepreneurial abilities, offer cooperative training, ease access to resources, and encourage networking among young people.
He said, “It’s time to exchange ideas and support one another. The dialogue is a platform to address the big problem of unemployment and find solutions.
“Let’s work together to create a brighter future for ourselves and our nation!”
He underlined the need for a supportive environment for young Nigerians to succeed, recognizing that not everyone will pursue traditional roles like civil service or politics, but with the right backing, everyone can thrive.
During his announcement, Olawande outlined various government programs aimed at empowering young people, including initiatives such as the student loan program, youth investment fund, and Nigerian Youth Academy.
“Government is committed to renewing the hope of this country and investing in its young people,” Olawande further noted.
He shared that more than 80,000 young Nigerians are currently participating in digital training as a trial run, with a bold objective of providing essential skills to 7 million youths in the next two years.
