Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has expressed his opinion on the intense custody dispute between music sensation David and his ex-partner and mother of his first child, Sophia Momodu.
In a post on his Instagram page, Uche expressed curiosity about the singer’s whereabouts over the past two years, considering Sophia’s accusation that he had abandoned their child, Imade, for that duration.
Uche argues that Davido cannot simply decide one day to have joint custody without considering the emotional distress and pressure Sophia has endured.
Uche advises the singer to apologize to Sophia by paying her a substantial sum of N500 million as compensation for everything she has been through.

Few days before Davido’s traditional wedding to Chioma, he filed a lawsuit to seek joint custody of his daughter.
He claimed that Sophia, the mother of his child, was denying him access to their daughter and extorting money from him.
According to Davido, Sophia rejected his offer to provide a house for her and instead demanded a monthly rent of N5 million for her own house.
Sophia responded by revealing that she had an affair with Davido while he was dating Chioma from 2020 to 2022.
She denied Davido’s claims of denying him access to their daughter, stating that he had never made an effort to meet with their child and had abandoned her because she refused to have sex with him.
New reports from their ongoing custody battle emerged online on Friday. Sophia filed a 102-paragraph affidavit opposing Davido’s request for joint custody.
She cited reasons such as the death of Davido’s son, his controversial lifestyle, and his use of their daughter to get back at her as reasons for her opposition.
Davido reacted to Sophia’s affidavit, expressing his frustration with her constant mention of their child’s death.
He stated that their daughter would grow up knowing that Sophia fought against him, but reminded her that Imade wouldn’t be a child forever.
He expressed his love for their daughter and told Sophia to enjoy her.
