Seun Kuti, a popular Nigerian musician, recently shared the reason behind his distant relationship with his eldest daughter during a conversation about his experience as a father.
Seun, in a video that went viral, shared during an interview with famous media personality Timi Agbaje, revealed that he had a child with a previous partner before marrying his current wife, Yetunde.
When discussing his experience as a father, he said that he does not have a close relationship with his first child due to a lack of connection with the child’s mother.
He said, “The greatest thing I ever achieved is becoming a father, I have two kids but I’m not really close to my other daughter but to have the joy of that is my greatest achievement.
It’s complicated circumstances. No family is perfect, but I’m not close to the mother of my first daughter.
I wasn’t married when I had my first daughter. Interestingly, I only had premarital sex twice before my first daughter was born.”
