FAMILY
Yul Edochie, a Nigerian actor, was born and raised in Lagos State, located in the South Western region of Nigeria.
He was brought up alongside his siblings by their parents.
Yul is the youngest child in a family of six, with his father being the renowned Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, and his mother being Josephine Edochie, a Nigerian businesswoman.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Yul Edochie, a popular actor and producer, went to Lillian’s Day Nursery School and Robinson Street Primary School in Enugu.
He received his First School Leaving Certificate from there and then went on to attend a secondary school in Enugu to obtain his Senior Secondary School Certificate.
Yul Edochie successfully applied and was accepted into the University of Port Harcourt.
He studied there and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Arts.
Following his completion of secondary education, Yul Edochie decided to continue his studies at the University of Port Harcourt.
He pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts and successfully obtained it.
CAREER
Yul Edochie started his professional journey during his time in university when he was given a role in the film The Exquires.
This provided him with the chance to work alongside esteemed actors such as Justus Esiri, Chidi Mokeme, and other famous personality in the Nollywood industry.
The actor gained attention in 2007 when he appeared in the film Wind of Glory alongside well-known Nollywood actors Desmond Elliot and Genevieve Nnaji.
In an effort to support the next generation of actors, Yul Edochie established the Yul Edochie Academy in 2015, which has since become a hub for up-and-coming Nollywood stars.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Pete Edochie, the actor has appeared in multiple Nollywood films since rising to prominence in 2007.
He has received numerous awards, including the Best New Actor of the Year (English) Award in 2009 at the City People Entertainment Awards.

Yul Edochie tied the knot with May Yul-Edochie, in a vibrant traditional wedding ceremony in 2004 when he was just 22 years old.
Yul Edochie has a second wife named Judy Austin, who gave birth to their youngest child.
